Popular event featuring local “celebrities” pouring wine and beer from uniquely themed booths, live entertainment, and unlimited hors d’oeuvres benefit adults with disabilities in Rock County
Janesville, Wis. (April 16, 2024) – KANDU Industries Inc. announced its 11th Annual Grapes & Hops wine and beer tasting fundraiser. The popular event will be hosted for the third time at the Revv Aviation airplane hangar located at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport at 4606 S. Atlantis Drive in Janesville, Wis. from 6 to 10 p.m. on May 31, 2024.
KANDU’s popular Grapes & Hops event is known as much for its unique entertainment value as it is for its specialty wine and beer tasting experience because of its interactive themed tasting booths hosted by local celebrities. Guests will travel through a concourse of creatively staged booths featuring themes like Mean Girls, Oktoberfest, and Mario Party. A spectacular array of hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening while musician David Hecht performs his unique blend of American roots and funk from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by an energetic performance by popular horn rock band, Six Thirty Sharp from 8 to 10 p.m.
In between musical sets, there will be a live auction featuring exclusive items like a seven-night stay in Belize that includes excursions, a golf cart for the week and a beach dinner; a Revv Aviation discovery flight; a one-night stay in the luxury loft above Genisa wine bar, including a chef’s tasting and wine pairing in the restaurant; a one-of-a-kind butterfly art piece hand-made by KANDU clients; and more.
Weather permitting, Revv Aviation will display special antique and training aircraft as an added attraction for guests to enjoy.
Tickets are $95 each or $110 at the door and can be purchased on the KANDU website at kanduindustries.com. Tickets are limited so community members who are interested in attending are encouraged to secure tickets soon.
KANDU’s Grapes & Hops event is designed to raise funds to support KANDU’s many work, social and daily programs for people with disabilities in our community and is made possible by several community donations including major sponsors DSB Technologies, Trigger Precision Products, Revv Aviation, Thrivent Financial, Tricor Insurance and SSM Health.
