COTEY HAS NEVER LIVED INDEPENDENTLY. UNTIL NOW.
Cotey spent the majority of his life living with family members or in group homes but never gave up on his dream of living independently and the opportunity to make his own choices for things as simple as groceries. But Cotey has an intellectual disability, and his family and friends were concerned about his safety, lack of experience managing finances, inability to drive, and more.
Today, Cotey is living the life he dreamed of in his own apartment. Every day, KANDU makes dreams like Cotey’s a reality, ensuring that people with disabilities have every opportunity to thrive and experience a life full of choice and purpose, enriching our community as a whole.
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FILL THE GAP BETWEEN FUNDING SOURCES AND COSTS TO ADMINISTER OUR PROGRAMS.
IT SIMPLY ISNT ENOUGH.
Join Us in Empowering Lives Every Day
From our foundational Prevocational Employment program to our new KANDU Cares and Minds in Motion programs, KANDU is unwavering in our commitment to providing a safe, nurturing haven where individuals with disabilities like Cotey can thrive and feel valued. Your donation directly supports the many programs KANDU offers for people of all ages.

Livin' & Learnin' clients had a blast at Discovery World in Milwaukee! The highlights of the day included learning about various types of fish and being able to take home a 3D puzzle. These experiences help our clients connect with the community, explore new opportunties, and create... lasting memories.
